The 2 HP Model 840 auto-reversing grinder pump is designed for residential, commercial, and municipal sewage grinder systems, including pressure sewer and sewage lift station applications. Its hardened 440C stainless steel cutter and disc reduce difficult wastewater material, while the cutter automatically alternates direction to extend blade life and help free material hang-ups. The pump is nonautomatic and requires a compatible control panel and control floats to manage pump operation and the reversing circuit.

The Model 840 features an oil-filled motor, cast iron construction, external cooling fins, corrosion-resistant powder-coated epoxy finish, and stainless steel hardware. Dual carbon-and-ceramic mechanical shaft seals with leak detection provide a second line of defense against moisture intrusion, while moisture probes and three-phase thermal sensors help protect the motor. Every pump is 100% factory tested before shipment.
